The Outer Parking Zones (The First Ring)

If you are driving from Mumbai, Pune, Dhule, or Aurangabad, you will be stopped at the outer borders of Nashik city. The government temporarily converts massive agricultural lands and open grounds into parking lots that can hold tens of thousands of cars and buses.

The Shuttle Bus System (The Second Ring)

From the outer parking zones, the government deploys thousands of MSRTC city buses. These buses act as continuous shuttles, picking pilgrims up from the parking lots and dropping them at designated "Inner Hubs" like Thakkar Bazar, CBS (Central Bus Stand), or specific temporary bus stands near Tapovan.

The Pedestrian Zone (The Core)

From the inner hubs, the final stretch to the river (Ramkund or Kushavarta) is a strict "No Vehicle Zone". You must walk this final distance, which can range from 2 to 5 kilometers depending on the security situation of the day.

Vehicle Bans on Shahi Snan Days

Even local autos, taxis, and resident vehicles will be completely banned from operating near Panchavati and Ramkund to allow pedestrian movement for millions.
